Meet Audie, formerly Molly, who came all the way from Idaho to her A&B foster mom in Michigan, and then across the border to Ohio to become our new best friend in October 2016. We named her for an English saint, Audrey, who also moved around a bit before finding her place and her people to love, but I should have named her Joy. Everything makes Audie happy from morning ("Wake up, people! It's a new, fabulous day!" she seems to say when she woofs joyfully and gives us kisses in the morning) to night, when she bounds upstairs to snuggle in bed with her people. She literally jumps for joy for food, for walkies, for her people when they've been away, and for her favorite toys. When you ask her to get in her "place" to put on her collar for her walk, she does a 360-degree spin in the air onto her dog bed. When you bring out her food, she does a little hop, skip, and spin dance. She sits nicely when you ask her, too, but first the jumping and dancing. Every person she meets is a new lap to enjoy. She's a champion cuddler! This photo of our gorgeous, sweet girl makes me laugh, gives you a sense of her wiggly energy, and shows off her gorgeous markings. And it's a little different! It was taken the day she moved in, and she has been filling our house with energy, love, and joy ever since.
