Photo Submissions:

Each submission is a $10 donation amount.
Pet owners are invited to submit a photo of their pet(s) OR an APR adoptable pet. Every pet photo submitted will be featured in the printed calendar.
Limit of 2 pets per photo submission. People are not allowed in photos. Photos that do not follow these rules will not be eligible for publication and will not receive a refund.
All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos.
The Submission Period for calendar photos ends at 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, August 31, 2023.
Submission fees are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by Abandoned Pet Rescue in its sole discretion, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund.
Once you have submitted your photo, get your family and friends to vote for your pet's picture.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet!

Want to guarantee placement in our calendar on a particular date? Your photo will be featured on a day of your choice for just $15 (in addition to the entry fee.) Choose your photo, your day (your pet's birthday or adoption day maybe?) and pay. If another entry has already reserved your special day, you will be contacted to choose another date. Fine Print

By submitting a photo, you warrant and represent that your submission is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit a photo that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.
By participating in this project you agree to release and hold harmless Abandoned Pet Rescue and Lorena Cora Pet Photography and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Much Is The Entry Fee?

The entry fee is $10 per photo. You can make an additional donation during the entry process that will count as votes* toward your submitted photo(s). All proceeds from the contest entries and votes will go directly to support Abandoned Pet Rescue's programs and services.

How Many Photos Can I Enter?

You can enter as many as you'd like!
- Each entry has a $10 entry fee.

What are the eligibility requirements?

Photos of cats, dogs, horses, small mammals, reptiles and birds are accepted.
Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from Abandoned Pet Rescue to be eligible to enter the contest.
Photos may contain more than one pet.
Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or higher) to be considered for a month spread.
Photos must be in landscape (horizontal) format to be considered for a month spread.
Photos must only contain pets (no people or wildlife).
Photos must be full color, with no heavy editing or alterations.
Photos must feature pets owned by the photographer OR the entrant must have permission to submit the photo.

Can I enter professional photos of my pet?

Yes, but you MUST obtain permission from the photographer to enter the photo in the contest.
Photographs with photographer's watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar.
