Dixie has quite a story... She belonged to a breeder in MO who was tragically killed in early 2015. A&B had rescued a litter of her puppies the year before and when we were asked to take Dixie and her setter siblings after her owner's death, of course we said yes. Upon her arrival, we found that Dixie was carrying puppies.... There began the story of the Dixie Cups!! Dixie delivered 5 beautiful, perfect babies in April 2015, and they all found amazing homes from Colorado to Pennsylvania. Dixie was an amazing mom from the moment of their birth until all the Dixie Cups went home to their forever families. She is the sweetest, most loving setter you would ever want to meet - and a perfect angel as well. In fact, Dixie made such an impression on her foster mom's vet hospital that she and one of her puppies were adopted by members the staff there. She has just been spayed, so she's done having babies and gets to spend the rest of her life being the precious baby herself now.
