A little about me...
Kaia joined our family after our 11 year German Shepard, Kai, passed away. She was named as a tribute to our beloved buddy. Kaia very quickly grew on all our hearts, including our two other dogs, Gremlin and Jessie. Her name means “the ocean” in Hawaiian, a very appropriate name for her because of her incredible blue eyes. It’s those eyes that suck us in and that we can’t say no to, they get her pretty much anything she wants. Who could refuse? Kaia loves snuggling up with anyone in her house pack and she’s learning to meet new people and other dogs. She picks up on new tricks very quickly because she loves treats and will do just about anything to get them. So far she sits when asked, shakes a paw and will “touch” with her nose. Currently, we’re working on her “stay” (not easy for a 5 month old puppy) and lay down (also not easy for a sometimes impatient and hyper puppy) so those ones require a little extra patience. One look into her blue eyes gets her the treat anyway, after all there’s no rush to learn these things. After losing our handsome Kai we recognize the value in cherishing every minute with our fur babies. Kaia is a perfect reminder to stay in the present moment and count every blessing. We think we’re teaching her but I’m pretty sure she’s teaching us as well. Her cuteness is just another bonus of owning a pet.
