Your Pet's Story
LIZZIE is an HHS alumni. This 11 year old Chihuahua was found abandoned alongside a road emaciated at 2.8 pounds. We were not expecting to fall in love with a frail little one facing a myriad of heath challenges. But she called to our hearts and it was a done deal! We wanted to do all possible to ensure she had a quality of life in her senior years. So after some time to put on weight, Lizzie had mammary tumors, all teeth (rotten) and an eye removed (due to an eye ulcer that burst). With all of the pain gone, she bounced back after surgery and her cute personality emerged. Lizzie is a happy and healthy 5 pound girl who makes us laugh every day.
