HoneyBear was rescued on the spot when a backyard breeder dropped her off at the shelter with broken ankles and ruptured ligaments. Surgeries helped, but she became virtually immobile due to fragile bones where calcium was depleted as she produced many litters for money. HoneyBear was a happy Chihuahua who made the most of life despite her challenges. She recently succumbed to bone cancer, a heartbreaking victim of neglect and abuse.
