Your Pet's Story
Bama is a rescued 6yr old female Catahoula from Athens Animal Services, AL. As a puppy she was tossed on the street for being too small. She was shot and apparently ate trash, butterflies, and lizards to survive. We adopted her at 11 months old and began work on her fear of men and her taste for lizards. She’s now a confident and an extremely gentle dog with a love for travel...and real food. Her rescued sister, Bunny, is a 5 yr old female Terrier/Poodle from Seminole County Animal Control, FL. She was beaten as a 6 month old puppy for killing the family’s pet turkey, after being thrown in a yard with multiple large dogs and poultry. When we got her at 7 months old, she was really head shy, aggressive, and would instantly throw-up on car rides. However, after a ton of patience, she’s socialized, loves people, road trips and adventures, especially if they involve standing on the front of her dad’s kayak. We have two wonderful shelter pups that we wouldn’t trade for the world!
