Rules

Photo Contest Period. The Contest entry period and voting starts at 10:00:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Sunday, May 7, 2023 and ends at 10:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Sunday, June 4, 2023. All entries must be received during the "Contest Period" to be eligible to win any prizes.

Eligibility. Your pet does NOT have to be a therapy animal. To enter the contest your pet's photo must comply with the photo submission guidelines (below) and a minimum of 5 votes are required. Only entries from the continental United States are accepted. Contest entry must be done electronically.

Photo Submission Guidelines: The animal photo must be entrant's original creation and owned one hundred percent (100%) by the entrant. Commercial reproduced photographs from professionals will not be accepted without proper release. Once entered, all photos become property of 1 FUR 1 Foundation to be used for print and marketing purposes.

• Digital must be full-color, no heavily filtered, edited or altered photos
• No humans or wildlife allowed in photos
• ONLY high resolution (300 dpi or greater) landscape/horizontal format photos will be considered for a month spread in the calendar
• Photo Submission can include one animal
• The Photo Submission must NOT contain material; 1) that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene hateful, tortious, and/or defamatory; 2) that violates, misappropriates, or infringes upon any law or regulation or the rights of any third party, including any copyright, trademark, or any rights of publicity or privacy, or any other intellectual property or proprietary rights; 3) that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; 4) that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any jurisdiction where Submission is created. Any photos can be removed from the photo contest if deemed inappropriate by 1 FUR 1 volunteers.

Donations: Each dollar donated represents one vote. Due to processing costs, a minimum $5 donation is required to enter your animal in the 1 FUR 1 photo calendar contest. All donations are final and tax-deductible by law – a receipt will be emailed to you. All proceeds from this contest and calendar sales will directly funds the growth of 1 FUR 1's Animal Assisted Therapy and Animal Assisted Activity Programs in the U.S.A.

Selection and Notification of Winner. Winners are determined by the number of votes received during the contest period from 10:00:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Sunday, May 7, 2023 until 10:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Sunday, June 4, 2023. All winners will be notified via e-mail and can expect delivery of prizes via mail within 8 weeks. To claim the prize, the winner(s) should respond to email within 2-weeks with all necessary shipping and contact information requested electronically, otherwise the prize will be revoked. Selection of the winning Submission by 1FUR1 will be based on the following criteria: (a) number of votes; (b) the extent to which it is inspirational; (c) the quality of the photo submission.

Use of Winner's Name, Pet Photo, etc. Except where prohibited by law, entry into the Contest constitutes permission to use pet photo and winner's and pet's name, Facebook name, likeness, persona, hometown, and/or Prize information in all media now known or later devised throughout the universe in perpetuity for all purposes 1FUR1 deems appropriate – including, without limitation, for promotional and publicity purposes – without further permission or compensation. As a condition of being awarded any Prize, except where prohibited by law, winner may (in 1FUR1's sole discretion) be required to execute a written consent, confirming 1FUR1's right to use such winner's name, Facebook name, likeness, persona, hometown, and/or Prize information without further permission or compensation.

General Release. By entering the Contest, you release 1 FUR 1 Foundation and it's contest sponsors from any liability whatsoever, and waive any and all causes of action, for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest or delivery, mis-delivery, acceptance, possession, or use of or inability to use any Prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light, whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory. 1 FUR 1 Foundation any participating sponsors, and any of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, professional advisors, volunteers, employees and agencies (collectively, the "Released Parties") will not be responsible for: (a) any late, lost, misrouted, garbled or distorted or damaged transmissions or entries; (b) telephone, electronic, hardware, software, network, Internet, or other computer- or communications-related malfunctions or failures; (c) any Contest disruptions, injuries, losses or damages caused by events beyond the control of 1 FUR 1 Foundation or by non-authorized human intervention; or (d) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Contest.
