The Grand Prize-winning dog and Grand Prize-winning cat with the highest number of votes will be announced as the official Rescue Brew 2025 Spokespets — and their winning photo and name will be featured on Rock Art Brewery’s limited edition Rescue Brew beer!

🌟 NEW THIS YEAR: A Wildcard Winner will be selected by a 5-member committee from the remaining eligible entrants. This special winner will be chosen based on the most fun, heartwarming adoption story, so be sure to share your pet’s journey from rescue to forever home!

All three winners will receive:

• Their pet featured on a Rescue Brew beer label

• A professional photoshoot

• A canvas print of their pet’s photo

• A magnet on NCAL’s new transport vehicle, promoting pet adoption across our region for one full year

• Recognition during the Open House Party at NCAL on Saturday, June 7th

Each case of Rescue Brew beer is valued at approximately $75.36, and it’s a highly anticipated small batch release every year.

🐾 Finalists (6 Total)

The top three dogs and top three cats with the most votes will be honored as finalists.

Each of the six finalists will receive:

• A professional photo shoot of their pet

• A canvas print of the resulting image

• Public recognition at the Open House Party on June 7th

Canvas prints will be delivered approximately six weeks after the close of the contest.

Winners will be revealed during our Open House Party at North Country Animal League on Saturday, June 7th, 2025!

NCAL will attempt to contact all finalists (top 3 dogs and top 3 cats by vote count) via phone or email on or about May 15, 2025. If a finalist cannot be reached within three (3) days, NCAL reserves the right to select the next highest vote-getter as an alternate.

All prize recipients must meet eligibility criteria and fulfill all contest requirements to receive their award.

Official 2025 NCAL Rescue Brew Beer Label Photo Contest Rules

ALL FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL, AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS APPLY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

1. Eligibility

The 2025 NCAL Rescue Brew Beer Label Photo Contest (the “Contest”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least sixteen (16) years old at the time of entry. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

2. Sponsor

The Contest is sponsored by North Country Animal League (NCAL). Sponsors include Rock Art Brewery and Brooke + Whittle.

3. Agreement to Official Rules

Participation in the Contest constitutes entrants’ full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.

4. Contest Period

• Submission Period: 8:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, April 14, 2025 to 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, May 16, 2025

• Voting Period: 8:00:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, April 28, 2025 to 9:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, May 16, 2025

Submissions and votes outside these dates will be disqualified. All submissions must be made online during the designated Submission Period.

5. How to Enter

Visit www.gogophotocontest.com/NCALRescueBrew and follow the instructions to complete the entry form. A $10 donation is requested per pet entry. Only dogs and cats are eligible.

Each pet may be entered multiple times, but votes will not be combined across entries. Multiple pets in one photo or photos including people will be disqualified unless replaced with an appropriate image.

Images must meet the following quality standards:

• 150 dpi (300 dpi preferred)

• Minimum 4" height or width

• Clear, focused, high-quality resolution

Winning images must meet these specs or a replacement image will be required. If no suitable image is provided, the prize will be forfeited to the next eligible entry.

6. Voting

Each $1 donation = 1 vote. Voting is open during the official Voting Period only. All votes are non-refundable and not tax-deductible. Votes made through means other than the official contest platform (mail, in-person, or NCAL's main donation page) will not count toward the contest.

7. Judging

• The dog and cat with the highest vote count will automatically be declared Grand Prize Winners.

• NEW in 2025: A Wildcard Winner will be selected by a 5-member committee based on a heartwarming and fun adoption story from among the remaining entries.

• In the event of a tie in vote count, a panel of three judges (one from NCAL, two from the sponsors) will choose the winner.

• Top three vote-getters in both categories (dog and cat) are eligible for finalist prizes.

8. Prize Awarding

NCAL will notify the top finalists (top 3 dogs and cats by vote) on or around May 15, 2025. If any potential winner cannot be reached within three (3) days, the next eligible finalist may be chosen.

9. Winner Notification

The Grand Prize Winners and Wildcard Winner will be announced live at NCAL’s Open House Party on Saturday, June 7, 2025.

All winners must comply with all rules and requirements. If a winner is disqualified or unable to participate, their spot will be awarded to the next eligible entrant.

10. Prizes

Grand Prize Winners (2 Total — One Dog & One Cat by Votes):

• Pet’s photo and name featured on the 2025 Rescue Brew beer label by Rock Art Brewery.

• One (1) case of Rescue Brew beer (approx. value: $109)

• Professional pet photo shoot

• Canvas print of their pet

• Feature on NCAL’s transport vehicle (magnet wrap, visible for one year)

• Recognition at the June 7th Open House Party

Wildcard Winner (1 Total – Selected by Committee):

• Same prize package as the Grand Prize Winners

• Must be an adopted pet

• Selected based on a compelling adoption story

Finalists (6 Total – Top 3 Cats and Top 3 Dogs by Vote):

• Professional pet photo shoot

• Canvas print of their pet

• Recognition at the June 7th Open House Party

Beer label production and print prizes will be fulfilled within approximately 6 weeks after the contest concludes.

11. General Conditions

If the contest is disrupted in any way (fraud, tech failure, etc.), NCAL reserves the right to suspend, modify, or cancel the contest and may choose winners from eligible entries received prior to disruption.

NCAL may disqualify any individual who tampers with entry or voting processes or violates these rules.

12. Release and Limitations of Liability

By entering, participants grant NCAL rights to use submitted photos in promotional materials without compensation. All photos become property of NCAL.

Entrants release NCAL, sponsors, and affiliates from liability for issues arising from participation or prize use, including but not limited to: technical failures, unauthorized intervention, or personal injury. In any dispute, entrants agree that damages will be limited to entry costs and waive claims for punitive or consequential damages.

13. Disputes

All disputes shall be resolved individually, without class action, in a court of competent jurisdiction in Vermont, and governed by Vermont law.

14. Privacy

Entrants’ information is subject to NCAL’s privacy policy.
